My computer had been having some major issues with power. It was constantly restarting on me in the middle of emails and anything else I tried to do. I finally narrowed the cause of the problem down to my power supply. I needed one quick and one with enough juice to fuel my system. I usually research every component I buy but I was in a hurry and saw the few reviews for this PSU. I needed at least 500 watts and couldn’t beat the price of this one so I thought I’d give it a shot. Installed very easily and booted up on the first attempt. Everything is working nicely now and I can get back to business. This is a wonderful power supply for the price and for average users, however, do not buy this power supply if you plan on overclocking at all. This unit just isn’t delivering the correct voltages to my chips when overclocking. It could also use a few more 4-pin molex connectors; I ran a little short when hooking up water pump and case fans. Make sure your components that need power don’t outnumber the amount of connectors included in this PSU.

Bottom Line: This is a great power supply for the price. It’s reliable and effective. This PSU could be perfect for the majority of users out there. However, if you built your own system and you have lots of components and/or you overclock your system, you should just do your research and be ready to spend the extra money for a PSU designed for high-end systems. Otherwise, this will work wonders.

I put this unit in a core 2 duo pc that had a failed power supply.

4 hard drives, 8800gt, DVD burner and 3gb ram. No power issues yet.

The modular cables are nice as you don’t have to have the extras just laying around in the case.

I definitely recommend this PSU.

That was my first impression when I pick the product up at my local Best buy. It had some weight to it for cheap power supply. I was really pleased when I got home and open the box. Looks like a well built solid PSU.

Pick up some zip ties with this PSU to tie up cables your not using.

No problem at all fired right up! This went into my son computer AMD 6000 3GB RAM two 80GB 7200 hard drives one DVD and 8800 GTS 640 MB graphic card. 92mm cooling fan and three 80mm all hook to a fan controller.

This is the only choice for a quality low cost power supply. It has the power you need for all but the hardcore computers. The leads are long and mesh wrapped and it has all the different ones needed for the newer computers. It is also very quiet. A popular parts selling company has sold tons of these and had stellar reviews on it. I have bought and replaced many power supplies in the last five years and this has been my favorite. I have one running my computer right now.

There is so much controversy regarding Dell power supplies, I thought I would review this item. I have installed this item in a Dell Dimension 8200. This computer is a 1.8 Ghz Pentium 4. It previously had a Dell 250 W power supply. This new power supply is working flawlessly! I changed out the smaller P.S., because I am upgrading to a XFX6600Gt graphics card, which requires 300 W minimum. I did have some concerns, after the erronous cautions from Dell support (India). But all is well. I notice that the dual fan configuration is very quiet.

Also, only one caveat. You will need a nibbling tool to remove some rear case sheet metal, so you can clear the rocker switch on this P.S. Not a big problem once you see how it performs.

My power supply went out on my ReadyNAS. Of course I was a couple months out of warranty. I checked online and I could have bought a cheap power supply and rewired it to work with the ReadyNAS. Since all of my data is on the NAS, I didn’t want to “cheap out”.

I’m glad I ordered this product. It was very easy to install and came with all the parts needed for the replacement. It was a perfect fit for the old power supply. All I needed was a screwdriver. It took about 15 minutes and my NAS booted normally.

I recently had my power supply fail on my ReadyNAS NV+; it actually pulled so much current my UPS failed too. But anyway, this is the exact replacement I needed. It was a little tough to figure out exactly how to replace the power supply, as it did not come with any directions, and the user guide for the ReadyNAS doesn’t go into that much detail, but I figured it out. It works. Only negative I could say is this is a fairly costly power supply, when compared to off the shelf ones you may find for a desktop system. I’m assuming it is the custom form factor that raises the price, but I have my doubts. It’s cheaper than buying a new ReadyNAS.

Seriously surprised!!Was a bit sceptical judging from the size and weight of this power supply, consulted a local technician and he too was doubtfull that it can put out what it said it can (22-30 amp). With the confirm scepticisn i decided abandoned the psv300 and bought a more sturdy looking and with a more sophisticated appearance power supply ( Hurricane brand)which weighs four times that of the psv300. Hooked it up to a to a alpine’trpe R’ 12inch sub and two 6*9 speakers powered by a MTX mono amp and Hifonics 400 watts amp and the damn power supply cuts off at barely at barely quater turn volume….what a big waste.

Decided to give the ps300 a try … and boy the that power supply did not disappoint my amps, had my subs WORKING..,AMAZING
